An object is like a tab in a spreadsheet. Lets say you want to track Invoices. Each row in a spreadsheet would be an invoice. Invoices would be 1 object. If you wanted to also track Invoice Line Items related to that Invoice, that would be a second object. Enter total number of objects.

A field is like a column in a spreadsheet. One question of data. Lets say you were tracking an Invoice object and each record would have an Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Amount Due, Date Paid. Then each of those would be fields. That is 4 fields. Enter your estimated total number of fields you think you need to create in Salesforce for all the objects.

Each automated action is a workflow. You can define the criteria of the event and then what you want to happen when that criteria matches. For example when the Opportunity Stage = Contract Sent, then send an email automatically to the operations manager to notify them of the contract sent. Or automatically create a Task that is due in 2 days after the contract is sent to followup with the customer. Estimate the number of automated workflows you think you need. 8 is a good average for what we see.
